Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in a 25-bed monitored Emergency Room, including 6 fast treatment beds, trauma bays, behavioral lockdown areas, and a dedicated stroke room.
- Manage a diverse patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics with conditions ranging from trauma, neurological cases, orthopedic injuries, to stroke care.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, mid-level providers, respiratory therapists, pharmacy staff, nurse aides, and security.
- Maintain responsibilities such as lab draws, IV starts, and patient monitoring using Meditech 6.15 EMR.
- Pass and maintain competency in required exams including Cardiac Rhythms and ESI Triage as part of orientation and ongoing proficiency.
- Current RN license with a minimum of 5 years experience in a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Room, including at least 2 years in an acute care setting.
- Current certifications: TNCC (required), BLS, ACLS, PALS, ASLS or NIHSS.
- Prior Meditech 6.15 EMR experience essential.
- No first-time travelers accepted; previous travel ER nursing experience preferred.
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts, weekends every 3-4 weeks, and alternate holidays.
- COVID-19 vaccination not required; non-vaccinated staff must be willing to undergo weekly testing.
- Guaranteed hours with both 36 and 48-hour options available.
