Responsibilities include managing telemetry patient loads with nurse-to-patient ratios averaging 1:4, interpreting tele monitoring strips twice per shift, administering and titrating cardiac drips such as amiodarone, cardizem, dopamine, and dobutamine, and handling post-procedural cardiac patients. You will support patients recovering from open heart surgery, TAVRs, ablations, cath labs, and managing complex diagnoses like CHF, sepsis, and strokes. Collaboration with charge nurses, crisis/resource nurses, respiratory therapists, and CNAs is key to delivering smooth and comprehensive care.

Desired Experience And Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, with post-procedural cardiac expertise strongly preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to accurately read and interpret telemetry and document findings appropriately
- Comfortable titrating heparin and cardiac drips; insulin training available if needed
- PCU and step-down experience desired
- Flexibility to float between telemetry units and sister facilities in the region
- Shifts are 7 am to 7 pm, with scheduling released six weeks in advance
- Approximately 5-6 weekend shifts required in each six-week schedule
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed but downtime between night shifts is considered
- Two-shift unit orientation across floors 3 and 7
