- Deliver tailored instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing within K-5th grade.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to enhance student learning and communication.
- Utilize specialized teaching methods and assistive technology to promote language development and academic progress.
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and communicate regularly with stakeholders.
- Active Virginia Department of Education (VA DOE) certification in Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing is required.
- Experience working with early childhood and elementary-aged students (K-5).
