- Develop and implement individualized instructional plans for students with hearing impairments.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech therapists, and audiologists to support students academic and social development.
- Utilize assistive technologies and communication strategies to enhance learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, families, and the educational team.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes effective communication and engagement.
- Maintain compliance with educational policies and IDEA regulations related to students with hearing impairments.
- Certification or licensure in Special Education with a focus on Deaf/Hard of Hearing education.
- Proven experience teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in a school setting.
- Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication methods preferred.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to diverse student needs.
