An opportunity is available for a Health & Physical Education Teacher to work part-time across several school districts in Lehigh County, PA. This role involves instructing K-12 students in Health and Physical Education, focusing on fostering physical fitness, health literacy, and lifelong wellness. The position runs through the school calendar until June 12, 2026 (tentative) and requires approximately 20 hours per week, spread over three days.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-aligned Health and Physical Education lessons that engage students and promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyle choices
• Support students physical, social, and emotional development through tailored activities
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom and equipment environment
• Adapt lessons to address diverse student abilities and needs
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Collaborate effectively with school staff and communicate with families as appropriate
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in Health & Physical Education PK12 or Physical Education PK12
• Bachelors degree in Health, Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field
• Experience working with K-12 students in Health and Physical Education
  
  

Location: The role serves Catasauqua, Parkland, and Salisbury School Districts, with the IU main office in Schnecksville, PA.
