Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized educational services to 20-23 students with varying visual impairments
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure optimal learning outcomes
- Utilize assistive technology and adaptive methods suitable for visually impaired students
- Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to adjust instructional strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all district and state guidelines
- Active North Carolina Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification or license
- Experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of specialized instruction techniques for visual impairment
