A professional opportunity is available for a Visually Impaired Teacher to support K-12 students with diverse visual impairments. This role requires a dedicated professional to deliver specialized instruction and support within a school setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized educational services to 20-23 students with varying visual impairments
• Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure optimal learning outcomes
• Utilize assistive technology and adaptive methods suitable for visually impaired students
• Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to adjust instructional strategies accordingly
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all district and state guidelines
  
  

Required Qualifications And Skills

• Active North Carolina Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) certification or license
• Experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting
• Strong understanding of specialized instruction techniques for visual impairment
• Ability to work effectively onsite and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
