Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive post-cardiac catheterization care, including management of TR band applications
- Administer advanced pulmonary treatments and medication titration accurately
- Adhere to patient experience protocols such as AIDET communication, medication teaching, and maintaining communication boards
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including unit secretaries and one dedicated tech per shift
- Utilize electronic documentation systems (Meditech) and operate specific equipment like GE Monitors, Nova glucometers, and Pyxis medication dispensers
- Participate in unit staffing rotations and floating assignments alongside full-time staff and other travelers
- Maintain compliance with hospital trauma certification standards and unit-specific policies
- Licensed Registered Nurse with experience in Stepdown or similar critical care units
- Proficiency in care of TR bands post-cardiac cath procedures
- Advanced skills in pulmonary treatments and medication titration
- Certification in BLS and ACLS required
- Strong teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and a positive attitude essential
- Every other weekend shifts required as part of the rotation
- Charcoal gray scrubs as the required attire
