Stepdown Registered Nurse | Alpharetta, Georgia

A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with expertise in Stepdown care. This role requires experience in managing complex cardiac patients within a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) setting. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cardiac nursing and be comfortable working with a variety of cardiac conditions and advanced therapies.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Documented experience in PCU or IMCU nursing care
• Proficient in managing cardiac patient populations, including STEMI, NSTEMI, and post-cardiothoracic surgery (CTS) patients
• Skilled in administering and monitoring cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and various pressors
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Comfortable working with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to a 28-bed PCU/IMCU dedicated to cardiac patients
• Monitor and manage complex cardiac conditions and ongoing treatments
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, including updated demographic records and clinical photographs as appropriate
