Staff Pharmacist

A retail and long-term care pharmacy is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) on a contract basis. This role focuses on the distribution of medications prescribed by healthcare providers and delivering exceptional customer service to all patients.

Location:
Sumner, IL (with assignment at a nearby site)

Schedule/Hours

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (9 hours daily)
• Starting January 5, 2026, through January 30, 2026

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately as per physicians' and health practitioners' prescriptions
• Provide thorough information and counseling to customers regarding medication use
• Maintain a high standard of customer service and patient care
• Oversee pharmacy operations in the capacity of Pharmacist-in-Charge

Qualifications And Desired Experience

• Current pharmacist license valid in Illinois
• Experience in retail and/or long-term care pharmacy settings preferred
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage workflow effectively in a busy pharmacy environment
• PharmD preferred, but relevant pharmacy credentials will be considered
