Staff Pharmacist - Winston-Salem, North Carolina

A specialty retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced Staff Pharmacist for a 13-week contract opportunity in Winston-Salem, NC, with potential for direct hire. This position offers a consistent day shift schedule from Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, including a one-hour lunch break. The role involves working in a specialty retail environment focusing on both sterile and non-sterile compounding.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in a specialty retail setting
• Perform sterile and non-sterile compounding according to protocols
• Utilize pharmacy order entry systems, primarily PK (similar to QS1), with full training provided
• Maintain compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations
• Ensure safety and accuracy of all prescriptions and compounding procedures
  
  

Qualifications

• Active North Carolina pharmacy license required
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of pharmacy experience
• Experience with sterile compounding is highly desirable
• Experience with non-sterile compounding is a plus
• Ability to adapt and learn new software systems (training on PK will be provided)
