Location: Valdez, AK (Assignment site in Cordova, AK)
Duration: 7 weeks starting June 1
Shift: Days, Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM with a lunch break from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Responsibilities:
- Manage activities at the retail pharmacy window including dispensing medications and counseling patients
- Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory pharmacy standards
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to optimize patient medication therapies
- Maintain accurate records and oversee inventory management
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Alaska pharmacy license required
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a licensed pharmacist, preferably in retail or hospital pharmacy settings
- Strong communication and patient service skills necessary to work in a small community setting
