Staff Pharmacist - Mount Sterling, KY

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1 years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A busy retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to strengthen their team. This position is ideal for pharmacists with recent retail experience and a strong ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Location:

Mount Sterling, Kentucky

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (four weekdays per week)
• Saturday coverage 1 to 2 times per month, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  
  

Responsibilities

• Verify prescription accuracy and ensure compliance with regulations
• Provide thorough patient counseling and address medication-related questions
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and support technicians to maintain efficiency
• Utilize PioneerRx system for prescription processing and management
• Maintain adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws
• Assist in daily pharmacy operations within a high-volume environment averaging 3,000 prescriptions weekly
• Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and staff
• Participate in Saturday shifts as scheduled
  
  

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx preferred
• Ability to function effectively in a high-volume pharmacy setting
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Flexibility to work 1 to 2 Saturdays per month
