- Full-time contract position
- Flexible scheduling may be available (as determined by facility needs)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current licensure as an SLP (or eligibility)
- Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
- Proficient documentation and organizational skills
- Familiarity with patient/insurance documentation processes a plus
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide targeted therapy for speech, language, and swallowing disorders
- Prepare and maintain patient documentation, including evaluations, plans of care, progress notes, and discharge summaries
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service staff to deliver patient-centered care plans
- Educate hospital staff on evaluation results and current best practices, including creating in-service presentations
- Communicate with insurance providers regarding patient benefits and authorizations
- Ensure treatment rooms are prepared and properly maintained
- Provide reminders and assist patients and families with hospital navigation
- Contribute to quality care through additional duties as needed
