Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current licensure as an SLP (or eligibility)
• Experience in a healthcare or hospital setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
• Proficient documentation and organizational skills
• Familiarity with patient/insurance documentation processes a plus
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide targeted therapy for speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Prepare and maintain patient documentation, including evaluations, plans of care, progress notes, and discharge summaries
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service staff to deliver patient-centered care plans
• Educate hospital staff on evaluation results and current best practices, including creating in-service presentations
• Communicate with insurance providers regarding patient benefits and authorizations
• Ensure treatment rooms are prepared and properly maintained
• Provide reminders and assist patients and families with hospital navigation
• Contribute to quality care through additional duties as needed
