- Conduct thorough evaluations and initiate treatment plans for speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Communicate with insurance providers to verify benefits and coverage.
- Prepare materials and equipment for therapy sessions.
- Educate healthcare staff—including nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service personnel—on therapy results and recommendations.
- Develop and deliver in-service training and educational programs for hospital staff.
- Collaborate with various healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care.
- Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas.
