About The Role
We are seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and student-focused Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our educational team in Sumner. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students develop communication skills that support academic success, social development, and independence.
Responsibilities
- Conduct speech, language, voice, and fluency evaluations for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and administrators
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Support AAC implementation and other communication strategies when appropriate
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid NC State SLP license and ESA certification (or ability to obtain)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- School-based experience preferred but not required
