Onsite School- Based SLP - Portland, OR

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
• Valid OR State Speech-Language Pathologist license.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is required.
• Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  
  

Location: Portland, OR Employer: Soliant Full Time - 30-37.5 hrs./week Combination of mat/medical leave coverages starting in November.

Candidates will be placed at 1-2 schools for 2 months at a time before changing to another caseleload.

This is a perfect job for newer SLPs looking to gather experience across multiple age groups.

Candidates will be surrounded by a vast amount of support (Highly experienced Speech & Director Support)

Pay: Hourly, dependent on experience

Performance Responsibilities

• Identify students with communication impairments.
• Collaborate with other educational staff to determine the impact of communication impairment on student progress.
• Develop and assist in the implementation of instructional and curricular modifications.
• Provide materials that promote communication development to other educators and families. Participate in student IEP development and implementation.
• Develop and maintain a caseload intervention schedule providing time for direct and indirect services, classroom collaboration and co-teaching, screenings and evaluations, materials preparation and voice output device programming.
• Maintain student records and performance data.
• Supervise speech/language-trained para-educator and graduate students as assigned.
• Mentor to new speech/language pathologists.
• Participate as required on Building Student Improvement Teams, speech/language department committees and projects, special education committees, projects, or audits.
• Provide in-service to colleagues.
• Must complete all Special Education paperwork including IEPs and Medicaid billing.
