A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a newly rebuilt middle school in Bradenton, FL, serving approximately 60 students including those in a self-contained/cluster program for Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD). This on-site contract role runs from January 2, 2025, through May 29, 2026, within the School District of Manatee County.

Location: Bradenton, FL

Assignment: Middle School (Sugg Middle School)

Contract Duration: January 2, 2025 May 29, 2026

Hours: Full Time

Caseload: Approximate 60 students, including EBD program

Qualifications/Experience

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Florida SLP license required
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFY candidates welcome
  • Experience working with middle school-aged students and diverse caseloads, including self-contained programs
  • No SLP Assistants (SLPAs) accepted for this role

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy to middle school students, including those with emotional and behavioral challenges
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district policies
