Embark on an impactful contract role supporting students in the San Juan Capistrano area as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year. This assignment covers a leave of absence for the fall, with a likely start in mid-October and flexible end date. The need is for two SLPs to serve at the preschool and middle school levels, enabling you to focus on age-appropriate interventions and make a significant difference in students’ communication skills.
As part of this dynamic setting, you’ll deliver direct therapy, assessments, and collaborate with educators and families, all while enjoying a weekday, full-time schedule.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology required
- Active California SLP license
- Previous experience working in school settings, preferably at preschool and/or middle school levels
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management abilities
- Commitment to on-site services throughout the assignment
- Adaptable to temporary leave-of-absence coverage
What You’ll Do:
- Provide high-quality speech-language therapy for preschool and/or middle school students
- Conduct assessments and write evaluation reports
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Work as an integral part of student support teams
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and family members to promote student success
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and treatment plans
