Step into a rewarding contract role serving elementary and early learning students as a Speech-Language Pathologist near the Bremerton, WA area. In this full-time, on-site position, you'll support students’ communication needs while collaborating with a passionate team of educators and specialists. The anticipated start date is August 24th, making this an excellent opportunity to prepare for the upcoming school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Hold a current SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring
  • Skilled in evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders
  • Comfortable providing both direct therapy and consultative/itinerant services
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including Child Find Evaluations
  • Interpret evaluation results and participate in assessment/IEP meetings, which may be scheduled outside standard student hours
  • Deliver individualized and group speech-language services to students, including in developmental preschool and itinerant programs
  • Contribute to transition-to-kindergarten planning as needed
  • Document therapy progress, maintain student records, and ensure compliance with state and federal educational standards
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and support staff to maximize student outcomes
  • Participate actively in staff meetings and professional development
