An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized services within a unique high school program designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. This contract role supports the Compass High Program, a personalized and supportive educational setting that emphasizes skill-building for student independence.
Location: Ludlow, MA
Duration: July 6, 2026 August 7, 2026 (Potential for renewal for the 2026/2027 school year)
Schedule: 15-20 hours per week, spread over 2-3 days
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to high school students within the Compass High Program
- Provide AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) support, focusing on hands-on service rather than conducting formal AAC evaluations
- Collaborate with educational staff to tailor interventions supporting communication and independence goals
- Maintain detailed documentation aligned with state and program requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with credentials meeting state educational requirements
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working in school settings, specifically serving high school students
- Prior exposure to AAC service delivery within an educational or clinical context is highly desirable
- Knowledge of therapeutic approaches tailored to students with ASD or similar learning differences
