Speech and Language Pathologist in Indian, AK

Provide specialized speech-language pathology services in a dynamic school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This onsite, full-time contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students' communication needs across approximately two elementary schools.

Location: Indian, AK

Duration: August 14, 2026 May 27, 2027

Schedule: 40 hours per week (8.5 hours/day with 0.5 hour unpaid lunch)

Caseload: Approximately 47 students spanning two schools

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver speech and language assessments and therapeutic interventions tailored to individual student needs
• Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective intervention plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting and monitoring
• Ensure all services adhere to Alaska state certification and licensure standards
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Alaska certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
• Experience working in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with students and staff
• Commitment to enhancing student outcomes through evidence-based practices
• Ability to manage caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of care
