As the Special Education Teacher, you’ll play a pivotal role, delivering instruction for a total of 10 hours each week, distributed across a minimum of three days. Your expertise will shape the educational experience for this young learner, fostering growth in a supportive, compassionate environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education certification required
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Deep understanding of IEP implementation and individual learning plans
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Compassionate and adaptable approach to teaching students with unique needs
- Previous experience in a similar setting or with medically complex students is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans aligned with the student's existing IEP goals
- Adapt curriculum and materials to suit developmental and learning abilities
- Collaborate with care facility staff, therapists, and families for holistic support
- Track progress and maintain thorough documentation of milestones and ongoing needs
- Foster a positive, safe, and consistent learning environment
