Special Education Teacher - North Haven, Connecticut

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a closely related field
• Valid Connecticut Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience with elementary and/or middle school students desirable
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction and academic support to students with diverse educational needs
• Share your expertise across elementary and middle school caseloads
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress
• Offer differentiated instruction and accommodations tailored to each learner
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, related service providers, families, and school staff
• Contribute to IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
