Qualifications & Experience
- Valid special education teaching credentials and certifications
- Prior experience or a strong interest working with students with diverse learning needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers in co-teaching settings
- Strong classroom management skills and a compassionate, patient approach
- Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Willingness to adapt instruction to support individual education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with IEP goals
- Collaborate with co-teachers and support staff to facilitate inclusive classrooms
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders
- Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional challenges
- Maintain clear documentation and comply with all program standards and requirements
- Foster a positive and encouraging classroom environment where all students feel valued
