- Valid South Carolina certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with severe disabilities, preferably in a self-contained classroom
- Strong understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ability to develop and implement them
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach
- Ability to adapt curriculum and teaching methods to address a variety of learning and behavioral needs
- Commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all learners
- Deliver targeted instruction to students with severe disabilities in alignment with IEPs
- Modify curriculum and instructional strategies as needed to support diverse learning goals
- Track and report on student progress, adjusting strategies as required
- Foster the development of academic, functional, behavioral, and life skills
- Collaborate closely with school staff, administrators, and related service providers
- Cultivate positive relationships with students, families, and team members
- Maintain a structured, predictable classroom environment
