Special Ed Teacher - Worcester, Massachusetts

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An Elementary Special Education Teacher position is available for the upcoming school year, focused on serving a K-4 substantially separate classroom with therapeutic needs. This contract role runs from August 25, 2025, through June 19, 2026, with daily hours from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. This position is located in Worcester, MA, within an elementary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the academic and therapeutic needs of students in a substantially separate classroom.
• Deliver specialized instruction and support to K-4 students with disabilities, fostering both academic growth and social-emotional development.
• Collaborate closely with related service providers, parents, and school staff to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjustment of teaching strategies as necessary.
• Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment that addresses therapeutic requirements.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current on special education best practices.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a K-4 setting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a substantially separate classroom with therapeutic needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
• Patience, adaptability, and commitment to student success.
