An Elementary Special Education Teacher position is available for the upcoming school year, focused on serving a K-4 substantially separate classroom with therapeutic needs. This contract role runs from August 25, 2025, through June 19, 2026, with daily hours from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM. This position is located in Worcester, MA, within an elementary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to the academic and therapeutic needs of students in a substantially separate classroom.
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to K-4 students with disabilities, fostering both academic growth and social-emotional development.
- Collaborate closely with related service providers, parents, and school staff to ensure comprehensive support for each student.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and adjustment of teaching strategies as necessary.
- Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment that addresses therapeutic requirements.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities to stay current on special education best practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
