What We're Seeking
- Active Massachusetts Moderate Disabilities certification (required)
- Previous experience teaching special education at the middle school level is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of co-teaching models and inclusive education practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
- Excellent communication skills, organization, and adaptability
- A commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Co-teach in varied middle school classrooms, delivering specially designed instruction for students with moderate disabilities
- Collaborate in lesson planning and instructional delivery with general education partners
- Adapt curriculum and implement accommodations and modifications.
- Monitor student progress, collect data, and participate in IEP meetings
- Communicate regularly with families and school staff to ensure student growth and well-being
- Support the development of student self-advocacy and independence
