Special Ed Teacher | Saint Johns, Florida

This temporary teaching opportunity is ideal for an experienced Special Education professional with a passion for elementary education. The role involves leading a self-contained Elementary Special Education (ESE) classroom, supporting students with diverse learning levels and exceptionalities. The position begins January 5, 2026, and concludes May 28, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours per day). This contract role is on-site only and located in the Saint Johns area of Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction and support tailored to students in an elementary self-contained ESE classroom
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with exceptional needs
• Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with other educators and support staff to foster a positive learning environment
• Maintain compliance with all state and district policies related to special education
  
  

Qualifications

• Active Florida Special Education (ESE) certification
• Valid Florida K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification
• Experience in managing a self-contained elementary special education classroom preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
