Special Ed Teacher | Longmont, Colorado

An opportunity is available for an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher specializing in Autism to support a preschool classroom in the Denver area. This full-time, on-site position offers the chance to work with young children in an elementary school setting, focusing on early intervention and specialized educational support for students with autism.

Responsibilities Include

• Delivering individualized instruction and support to preschool-aged children with autism
• Implementing developmentally appropriate teaching strategies tailored to student needs
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and parents, to create effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting interventions accordingly
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
  
  

Qualifications

• Active Colorado teaching license with Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) endorsement required
• Preference for candidates already holding ECSE licensure from the Department of Education; pending licensure considered on a case-by-case basis
• Experience working in special education settings, especially with young children on the autism spectrum
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with families and educational teams
• Commitment to on-site, full-time engagement; remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available

• Meadowood Child Development Center, Denver area
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• Contract duration: January 7, 2026, through May 21, 2026
