A Special Education teaching opportunity is available in Hanover, Pennsylvania, serving a school environment focused on supporting diverse learners. This contract position spans an Extended School Year (ESY) assignment followed by a full-time role for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Candidates will contribute to classrooms that require in-person teaching; virtual placements are not suitable due to the nature of the program. The ESY assignment includes essential staff inservice training on July 7, 2026, with student instructional days running Monday through Thursday, July 8 to July 30, 2026. Daily staff hours during ESY will be approximately 8:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. The subsequent school year position is full-time Monday through Friday, from 7:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with the calendar estimated from August to June.

Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Special Education teaching certification (emergency certificates are not accepted; no sponsorship available)
- Experience working with students requiring special education services
- Ability to work effectively in a classroom setting requiring hands-on and direct instructional support
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for team and parent engagement
- Flexibility and dedication to meeting the evolving needs of students
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student goals
