Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Support students’ growth and success as a Special Education Teacher serving in a Life Skills classroom for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with a dedicated team helping students thrive academically and socially. With five available positions, flexibility is key as placement details and assignments will be determined just before the start of the school year. Candidates comfortable providing support wherever needed throughout the region will be well-suited to this dynamic opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (required)
• Current Oregon Special Education Teaching license
• Adaptability and openness to varying school locations and assignments within the region
• Previous experience working with students in Life Skills or Special Education settings is preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, administration, and families
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to Life Skills students’ needs
• Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages growth in academic, social, and daily living skills
• Adapt instructional techniques and materials to meet students’ diverse learning needs
• Collaborate with related service providers, support staff, and general education teachers
• Maintain thorough records on student progress, attendance, and required documentation
• Attend meetings, professional development sessions, and school functions as required
• Uphold district and state standards pertaining to Special Education
