An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support K-2nd grade students in a structured school environment located in Cairo, GA. This contract position runs from July 31, 2024, through May 23, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for a caseload of 9 students with diverse learning needs.
- Collaborating closely with two paraeducators assigned to the classroom to provide tailored instruction and support.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies to promote academic and social growth.
- Maintaining clear communication with families and school staff to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Ensuring compliance with special education laws and school policies.
