School Speech Therapy Assistant | Hartford, Connecticut

A contract opportunity is available for two Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support students in educational settings located in Hartford, Connecticut. These full-time positions, offering 30 to 40 hours per week, will serve K-5 students at one campus and grades 6-12 at another, from ASAP through mid-June (End of School Year).

Responsibilities

• Assist certified Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy sessions tailored to students individual needs
• Work directly with 5-7 students per assigned campus to support communication development goals
• Prepare materials and document student progress in compliance with educational guidelines
• Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an SLPA in school settings preferred
• Knowledge of school-based speech and language therapy services
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage caseloads independently and maintain accurate records
• Relevant certification or licensure as an SLPA
  
  

Locations and Schedule:

• One position at Bloomfield campus serving students in grades 6-12
• One position at Manchester campus with K-5 students
• Contract duration from ASAP to mid-June
