As an integral member of the educational team, you will apply your expertise to foster communication skills in students across varying grade levels. Work closely with school staff and families to deliver impactful speech and language services. Caseload and specific school assignments will be determined upon placement, offering variety and the chance to broaden your professional experience.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Current, active SLP state license valid for schools
- Required educator certifications for North Carolina
- Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and deliver direct therapy to students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students' individual needs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress
- Engage proactively in school meetings and special education processes
- Comply with all district and professional standards
