Washington Elementary School, located near Suffolk, VA. Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
• Valid state licensure for SLP practice in Virginia
• Experience working in school settings, especially with elementary-aged children, is highly valued
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders for elementary-age students
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and best practices
• Provide direct intervention through individual and group therapy sessions
• Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, progress, and communication with multidisciplinary teams
• Offer support, strategies, and resources to teachers and parents aiding student progress
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute professional expertise
