School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) - Riverside, California

A school district in Riverside, CA is seeking multiple Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support students in both high school and elementary school settings. This contract opportunity offers flexibility with full-time or part-time positions available, starting as soon as possible through the end of the school year.

Key Qualifications And Experience

• Valid certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
• Experience working within school environments, preferably in both elementary and secondary settings
• Familiarity with supporting students with speech and language disorders under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
• Strong communication and documentation skills to track student progress and collaborate with educators
• Ability to adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing therapy plans designed to improve students speech and language skills
• Work directly with students to deliver individualized and group therapy sessions
• Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress notes, and relevant documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and SLPs to ensure seamless support for students
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing assessment and planning
