School Speech and Language Pathologist | Irvine, California

A contract opportunity is available in Irvine, CA, for a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized services within a school setting. This role involves evaluating, planning, and delivering targeted therapy to students with speech and language needs, with the added responsibility of family engagement and interprofessional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students presenting speech and language disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each students goals
• Facilitate therapy sessions focused on improving communication skills
• Track and document student progress meticulously to inform treatment adjustments
• Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to support student success
• Educate and involve families in the therapy process ensuring consistent reinforcement of skills
  
  

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Active state licensure or eligibility for licensure in California
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations highly desirable
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  
  

To Qualify For This Position

• Must hold an active state license approved by the Speech Language Pathology Board in California
• Must have obtained or be in the process of obtaining a Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
