School RN in Brockton, MA

A licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a Massachusetts nursing license is needed for a specialized school-based assignment providing 1:1 medical care for a 9-year-old student with diabetes. This contract role is located in Brockton, MA, with the student attending school in Lexington, MA. The nurse will begin at the students home, accompany the student on the bus to school, remain with the student throughout the school day, and then accompany the student on the bus back home. The nurse must not be an LPN or CNA as only RNs will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized diabetes care and monitoring for a 9-year-old student throughout the school day
• Start and end the day at the students home, accompanying transportation to and from school
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to meet the student's healthcare needs
• Maintain accurate medical records and communicate changes in the students condition promptly
• Follow all school health policies and state nursing regulations
  
  

Qualifications

• Current and valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license (LPN or CNA not acceptable)
• Experience or training in school nursing and pediatric care preferred
• Ability to ride bus transportation and remain attentive during school hours
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Comfort working in multiple locations (Waltham, Watertown, Lexington)
  
  

Work Schedule & Location:

• Monday through Friday, approximately 8:00 AM to 3:40 PM (subject to change based on transportation)
• Students residence in Waltham or Watertown, with school placement in Lexington, MA
