Key Qualifications:
- Active California RN license required
- Credentialed School Nurse certification is a must-have
- Prior experience in a school nursing or pediatric environment is strongly preferred
- Comfortable working independently across multiple sites
- Skilled in developing and implementing individualized care plans
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with staff, parents, and healthcare partners
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care and daily health management for medically complex students during ESY at a dedicated site
- Support general education students attending summer programs across multiple school locations, addressing health concerns as needed
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and respond to emergencies calmly and efficiently
- Maintain accurate and timely health records in compliance with local and state regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student care
- Serve as a health resource and advocate for students, families, and school staff
Assignment Details:
- Contract position covering scheduled dates between June 11 and July 29 (see below for specific dates)
- ESY program: 7am–2pm on June 11, June 26, June 29, July 6, July 7, July 13, and July 14
- General Education: 7am–2pm on July 20, July 24, July 27, and July 29
