School Registered Nurse | Paterson, New Jersey

A full-time registered nurse position is available to provide comprehensive healthcare services within a high school setting. This role involves managing the health needs of a diverse student population and collaborating with school staff to maintain a safe and healthy environment. The position requires a proactive approach to student care, health education, and emergency response.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to students, including assessment, treatment, and follow-up
• Manage health plans and medication administration for students with chronic conditions
• Conduct health screenings and assist with immunizations as needed
• Collaborate with school personnel to promote health education and wellness initiatives
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state regulations
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
• Participate in meetings with parents, staff, and healthcare providers as required
  
  

Qualifications And Experience

• Current and active Registered Nurse license in New Jersey
• Prior experience in a school nursing role with a full caseload, preferably in a high school setting
• Strong knowledge of school health policies and state regulations
• Ability to work onsite within the school building and manage multiple health concerns
• Completion of required fingerprint clearance for both agency and school district
• Up-to-date TB test and physical examination documentation
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to participate in interviews either in person or via Zoom

• Location: Onsite in Orange, NJ (servicing a high school)
• Contract duration: Full semester, from start date ASAP through June 26, 2026
• Full-time, 35 hours per week
