- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for special education services.
- Administer, score, and interpret cognitive, academic, behavioral, adaptive, and social-emotional assessments.
- Prepare clear, comprehensive, and legally defensible psychological evaluation reports.
- Determine eligibility for special education services in accordance with IDEA and Louisiana Department of Education regulations.
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Provide consultation regarding student behavior, emotional regulation, and classroom supports.
- Deliver individual and group counseling when appropriate.
- Assist with crisis prevention, intervention, and post-crisis support.
- Participate in multidisciplinary threat assessment and school safety teams as assigned.
- Serve as a trusted consultant to teachers, administrators, and support staff regarding student learning and behavior.
- Partner with families to explain assessment findings, discuss recommendations, and support student success.
- Participate as an active member of Individualized Education Program (IEP) teams and other student support teams.
- Collaborate with school counselors, social workers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and community providers.
- Support Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and other evidence-based intervention frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, Section 504, Louisiana Department of Education regulations, and district policies.
