School Psychologist in Charleston, WV

A full-time School Psychologist position is available to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students in a K-12 school setting. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to providing comprehensive psychological services that promote student well-being and success.

Location: Charleston, WV (Onsite Only)

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Duration: Current School Year (CSY)

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute expert recommendations
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed
• Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting plans to ensure optimal outcomes
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal regulations regarding special education and student services
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid School Psychologist certification/license appropriate for the state or willingness to obtain one
• Experience working within a K-12 educational environment
• Strong knowledge of psychological evaluation tools and intervention techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
