A school psychologist is needed for an elementary school setting in Buffalo, NY. This contract position offers an opportunity to provide essential psychological services throughout the school year (CSY), supporting student development and promoting a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological assessments to identify students learning and behavioral needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Provide counseling and intervention strategies to support student well-being and academic success
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to data-driven decision making
• Assist in crisis intervention and provide support during critical incidents
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on student progress and assessment outcomes
  
  

Qualifications

• Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
• Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure applicable for the state of New York
• Experience working within an elementary school environment strongly preferred
• Knowledge of assessment tools and interventions for diverse student populations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
