A contracted position is available for a .6 School Psychologist to support a middle school during the 2026-2027 academic year. This role provides an opportunity to apply specialized psychological skills in an educational setting, working directly with students, staff, and families to promote academic success and emotional well-being.
Location: Naperville, IL (In-person role at a middle school)
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:40 AM to 3:40 PM (Part-time, .6 FTE)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students needs and support eligibility for special education services
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement intervention strategies and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students as needed
- Monitor student progress and adjust support plans accordingly
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise on student mental health and learning strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school district policies and legal requirements
Qualifications:
- Masters or doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Valid state certification or licensure to practice as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with middle school-aged children preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and guidelines
