Qualifications And Experience

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
• Prior experience working with school-aged children or in educational environments preferred
• Strong communication and collaborative skills for effective partnership with teachers, administrators, and families
• Knowledge of IEP processes and familiarity with special education documentation
• Ability to develop individualized interventions, adapt activities, and advocate for student needs
  
  

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine student mobility, strength, and functional needs within the school setting
• Create, implement, and update individualized physical therapy plans aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Deliver direct therapy sessions and monitor progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed
• Consult with classroom staff and families to support inclusive participation in school routines and activities
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
• Participate in IEP meetings and offer professional recommendations regarding student care, accommodations, and adaptive strategies
