Make a difference in the lives of students by serving as a Physical Therapist across multiple campuses for a respected school system near Gilroy, California. This contract-based, itinerant position offers the chance to provide essential support to learners ranging from preschool through high school, playing a pivotal role in their educational journeys and personal growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Licensed Physical Therapist in California (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and related service providers
• Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet individual student needs across a range of ages and developmental levels
• Reliable transportation for travel between assigned school sites

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students as indicated by IEPs
• Complete thorough assessments and participate in eligibility determinations for students referred for therapy services
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at supporting students’ access to the curriculum and school environment
• Provide training and guidance to school staff and parents regarding strategies that promote student mobility, participation, and independence
• Accurately document evaluations, session notes, and progress reports in compliance with regulatory guidelines
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in IEP meetings and through ongoing communication
