Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations is highly valued
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, families, and related service providers
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet individual student needs across a range of ages and developmental levels
- Reliable transportation for travel between assigned school sites
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services to students as indicated by IEPs
- Complete thorough assessments and participate in eligibility determinations for students referred for therapy services
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at supporting students’ access to the curriculum and school environment
- Provide training and guidance to school staff and parents regarding strategies that promote student mobility, participation, and independence
- Accurately document evaluations, session notes, and progress reports in compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in IEP meetings and through ongoing communication
