Speech Therapy Assistant - Dover, DE

A full-time or part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available immediately through the end of the school year in a school setting in Dover, DE. The school will provide supervision, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality speech therapy support to students in a collaborative and structured environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the speech-language pathologist in implementing individualized treatment plans for students.
• Conduct therapy sessions to support communication skills, including articulation, language, and social communication.
• Document student progress and maintain accurate records as directed by the supervising speech-language pathologist.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to promote effective communication strategies within the classroom.
• Support students in a respectful and encouraging manner, helping to foster confidence and development in their communication abilities.
  
  

Qualifications

• Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in accordance with state requirements.
• Experience working in a school setting is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work independently under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
