School Occupational Therapist - Roxbury, Massachusetts

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current OT licensure in Massachusetts
• Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
• Strong understanding of IEPs, assessments, and therapy documentation
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and work effectively with students, families, and staff
  
  

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to address fine motor, sensory integration, and self-help skills
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student learning and success
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations and progress reports
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and regulatory standards
• Offer strategies and resources for classroom adaptations to enhance student participation
• Educate school staff and families about strategies to support students’ functional performance
