This hands-on position requires a confident professional who is comfortable and experienced with OT services in an education setting.
- IEP Expertise: Conduct thorough assessments, interpret results, and ensure all services align with legally mandated Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Direct Service: Implement individual and group therapy focusing on fine motor skills, visual motor integration, self-regulation, and adaptive strategies within the classroom and therapy room.
- Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, administrators, parents, and other specialists to integrate therapeutic goals into the students' daily school life.
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in the state of [State Abbreviation].
- Masters or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Required: Significant prior schools experience (e.g., as a previous school OT, fieldwork, or long-term substitute) is a must.
