School Occupational Therapist - East Lansing, Michigan

An experienced Occupational Therapist is needed for a full-time contract position working within a school setting in East Lansing, MI. This role supports K-12 students, including those up to age 26, with significant needs in a center-based environment. Collaboration is key, as you will work alongside another full-time Occupational Therapist as part of a dedicated team.

Location: East Lansing, Michigan

Contract Duration: Immediate start through June 3, 2026

Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week

Caseload: Approximately 40 students with significant needs, ages ranging from 3 to 26 years old

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services tailored to the individual needs of students within the school setting
• Collaborate closely with another full-time Occupational Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans
• Document progress and communicate with educational staff and families to support student development
• Adapt interventions to meet the diverse functional needs of students
  
  

Qualifications

• Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license required
• Certification as an Occupational Therapist must be current and presented with application
• Previous experience working in a school setting is highly preferred
• Ability to effectively manage a caseload of students with significant needs
